Emma Thorpe

Communications Director

With over 25 years’ experience as a communications professional focused on finance and innovation, Emma leads on strategy, campaigns, media relations and stakeholder outreach for AFII.

Emma also advises venture capital investors and startups on marketing and public relations and runs a sustainable hospitality business in the Scottish Highlands.

She previously held senior roles at private equity firm Bowmark Capital, trade association Invest Europe, and alternative asset manager, The Carlyle Group.

Prior to that, Emma worked in political communications, having started her career as a parliamentary researcher in the UK.

Emma has a BA Hons in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
